How much does wood flooring cost in delhi

WE ARE INDIA'S TRUSTED FLOORING COMPANY IN DELHI

We have a wide range of products which is widely categorized under three types - wooden, vinyl & carpets. Wooden flooring has laminate flooring, engineered wood flooring, solid wood flooring & outdoor wood flooring. We also have Ecofit flooring, which is popularly known as waterproof wooden flooring and design flooring. There is flooring for specific needs such as for wall cladding, for sports, for safety, etc. Carpet flooring in tile form is majorly used in office spaces in Indian market.

Wooden flooring comes in two types. There is also laminated flooring which looks like wooden flooring and is often sold as wood flooring.

One important thing to be considered while choosing a wooden floor is to make sure that the wood does not contain any harmful chemicals like urea formaldehyde or anti termite chemicals. Anti-termite treatments are harmful for humans especially children and must not be done on the wood flooring. Termite treatments are always done on the building.

  1. Solid wood flooring of typical thicknesses of 14 mm to 22 mm. These are expensive and if a good quality product is chosen, installed and maintained well, will last a life time. This will cost ₹400 upwards + installation + taxes per sq ft depending on brand, country of origin, wood species, thickness. More information may be had from the website of reputed manufacturers like Junckers, Denmark.
  2. Engineered wood. These are cheaper because the wood is only about 1–4 mm thickness, which is glued on to a layer of ply or engineered wood. This is priced much more economically than solid wood flooring obviously because of the lesser quantity of premium wood used. The disadvantage with this is the total life of the product. A wooden floor will require some grinding and re-coating every 4–5 years depending on the traffic due to wear of the surface. The grinding will reduce the thickness of the top wooden layer and can only be attempted couple of times in engineered wood floor, whereas in the case of solid wood flooring this can be done several times due to the higher thickness of the solid wood used. If you go for engineered wood flooring, you must find out from the supplier what is the actual thickness of the wood surface on top of the plywood. Mikaso is a brand that makes engineered wood flooring in India. Their website would give more info on their products and the build.
  3. Laminate flooring. This is not wood flooring. This only looks like wood. This has a top coat of plastic laminated on an MDF bottom board. This is a cheap alternate to wood flooring and is not all all suitable for high traffic areas. The wear and tear will easily show on the surface of the product. The bottom layer of MDF will absorb moisture in high humidity conditions and is easy to spoil. Laminate is like using faux leather in place of real leather! A brand to be considered is Pergo.
